Canola Research Hub
The Canola Research Hub translates agronomy research findings into tangible, on-farm practices that result in greater produtivity and profitability.
Research and innovation are two key factors that continue to drive the success of Canada’s canola industry. Knowledge transfer is required to extend research findings to growers, agronomists, the scientific community and other industry stakeholders, to initiate the adoption of new practices and technologies that drive further innovation. The Canola Research Hub facilitates the pairing of scientific knowledge with the expertise of those working with canola at all times and into varying degrees of detail. The Hub assists the canola industry in defining best management practices based on current scientific evidence to support sustainable and profitable canola production in Canada.
Accessing and applying this information can help growers move towards the goal of a 52 bu./ac. average Canadian canola yield by 2025, as outlined in the Canola Council of Canada’s strategic plan.
The Canola Research Hub is funded through the substantial support of the Canadian Agricultural Partnership and the canola industry, including Alberta Canola, SaskCanola, Manitoba Canola Growers and the Canola Council of Canada.
