SaskCanola Board Election Voting Period Open
SaskCanola’s board election voting period opened today. Registered producers* will receive a letter this week with instructions and a unique identifier code to use in the online voting platform (canolavote.com). Alternatively, the option to vote by paper ballot package is available to registered producers upon request. The Returning Officer will be Ann Smith, Manager of Levy Central. Voting, either online or by paper ballot, must be completed by 12:00 p.m. CST on November 30, 2020.
Eight nominations were received to fill four director positions on SaskCanola’s board.
The candidates include:
- David Altrogge of St. Benedict, SK
- Greg Brkich of Bladworth, SK
- Jonathan Fehr of Herschel, SK
- Keith Fournier of Maidstone, SK
- Evan Michel of St. Gregor, SK
- Codie Nagy of Ogema, SK
- Luke Perkins of Star City, SK
- Dean Roberts of Coleville, SK

“I encourage growers to take an active interest by learning about the candidates and exercising their right to vote for who they want to elect as their representatives on the SaskCanola board for the next four years,” said Wayne Truman, SaskCanola Chair.
The results of the election will be announced in December.
*A registered producer is any producer who has sold canola in either of the previous two crop years and has not requested a levy refund in the past year.
SaskCanola is a producer-led organization established in 1991 and supported by 20,500 levy-paying Saskatchewan canola producers. SaskCanola’s mandate is to grow producer prosperity by providing value to canola producers through research investments and communication to growers, consumers, and government.
