Leadership Opportunities with SaskCanola

Do you have a passion for farming? Do you want to help shape the path of the canola industry? Are you a natural leader but haven’t had many opportunities to refine your leadership abilities or build your confidence in working with others?

2022 is your year to get involved!

SaskCanola is looking for growers who are interested in taking on leadership positions and developing their leadership skills to help build a healthy future for canola.

Here’s how:
1.    Attend the SaskCanola Annual General Meeting on Tuesday, January 11.
2.    Apply to participate in Learn to Lead, a personal and professional development program designed to build leadership capacity among farmers and create future leaders for the agriculture sector.
3.    Submit your nomination form to run in the 2022 SaskCanola Board Election (Nominations open Summer 2022).

Our Board of Directors made important contributions in 2021

SaskCanola’s cornerstone investment area has and always will be research. In addition, SaskCanola invests in the areas of policy and market development. FInally, SaskCanola employs a variety of communication tactics to share the value that the Commission provides to farmers. Our Board of Directors guide the strategy and investments in all four of these areas – research, policy, market development, and communications.

It is through the active involvement of our producer-led Board that we are able to have a positive influence on the direction of the canola and agriculture industries. If you are considering letting your name stand for election, we encourage you to talk with a SaskCanola Director about their experiences on the Board.
