The board of directors of the Saskatchewan Canola Development
Commission (SCDC) are pleased to announce the appointment of Catherine
Folkersen to the position of Executive Director. Ms. Folkersen
will assume her position July 28th, 2008.

Canola Producers Bring Biodiesel to Parliament Hill
On the first two days of the new
session of Parliament this week, members of the Saskatchewan Canola
Development Commission (SCDC) met with Saskatchewan MPs to ask
for their support in creating a tax environment to help build
a Canadian biodiesel industry.

Commission (SCDC) is concerned about the uncertainty of the patent
issue and the potential impact to the Saskatchewan canola industry.
