Going Green features SaskCanola, watch the video
Going Green is a television show that celebrates successful sustainable solutions, made by individuals, organizations, businesses and municipalities globally. Its goal is to inform viewers on preserving precious resources like water, air, fuel and energy, and to encourage consumers to take steps towards achieving a brighter future, through healthier living and a cleaner environment through greener choices.
Going Green contacted SaskCanola because it was interested in the great health benefits of using canola oil in the American diet. Canola oil is the lowest in saturated fats and a good source of omega-3 oils, which is important for consumer to know about when they are trying to make small changes that will result significant health benefits.
SaskCanola worked with Going Green to produce a 5 minute segment that will be shown in the US and Canada on Discovery Channel and other local networks. Watch the video below.
Dr. Jo, a well known US nutritionist provides commentary on the importance of making small dietary changes to achieve big health benefits. A short cooking demonstration with Dr. Jo and Catherine Folkersen of SaskCanola completes the segment.
