SCDC sponsors Saskatchewan 4-H public speaking
competition
Saskatchewan Canola Development Commission is
continuing its support for Saskatchewan youth by sponsoring the
annual public speaking competition for Saskatchewan 4-H.
Saskatchewan 4-H, serving approximately 3,800
members and 1,100 volunteer leaders, is a project-based youth
organization, devoted to strengthening the skills of responsible
citizens. The program focuses on the growth and development of
our members, leaders, volunteers and staff through the motto:
Learn to do by doing.
One way of accomplishing this is to challenge
members to build strong public speaking skills. On April 28th,
the 2007 Saskatchewan 4-H Provincial Public Speaking Competition
was held in Assiniboia, Saskatchewan. This prestigious event is
hosted this year, by the District 3 4-H Council.
