Board Elections

Directors are elected for a three-year term and are eligible to be re-elected for a total of three terms. Elections for board members take place annually.

Only registered canola producers may nominate, vote, and/or be elected to the SaskCanola Board. Registered producers, who wish to be elected to the Board of Directors, should contact SaskCanola via email (click to email SaskCanola) or toll free at 1-877-241-7044 for a Director Nomination Package.

Elections take place by a mail in ballot. Registered producers are sent a ballot to select their Board choices from the nominated registered producers. Ballots are then submitted to the Returning Officer. The election results are announced at SaskCanola's Annual General Meeting held during Crop Production Week in January.

*Note: A registered grower is defined as any grower who has sold canola in the previous two years and who has not requested a refund. Only registered growers may vote, nominate directors and/or be elected to the Board of Directors.
